Human Resources – Training
The Training Supervisor will be responsible for the strategic and daily operations of the Orange, Texas Site training. The ideal candidate will serve as a liaison between site operations, the Site Leadership Team (SLT) and Human Resources. The Training Supervisor will evaluate training programs to ensure they are providing the appropriate level of instruction and skills development to our employee base. The training supervisor will be responsible for evaluating and developing a full service training team who can facilitate training courses as well as develop curriculum to support strategic business initiatives.
Manage the implementation of local training programs as well as partnering with corporate. Primary responsibility for developing, measuring and managing the effectiveness of training curriculum utilized on site. Design and effectively manage training plans and schedules for non-exempt employees. Recommend and identify outside development opportunities to enhance and support site leadership and employees where applicable. Manage and develop site training staff.
Successful candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills in order to effectively communicate with all levels of plant, professional and management personnel.
Must be self- driven with highly developed organizational skills and demonstrated ability to perform with minimal direction.
5-10 Years of training leadership, leadership development, curriculum development with an emphasis on adult learning theories.
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related business or social science. Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
Working knowledge of PC based applications used for training in the Chemical/Petro-Chemical industry.
Must be familiar with plant level operations and adult education challenges.
Master’s degree in Organization Development.
Accreditation in Training Techniques and Methods.
