Project Engineer-Muskogee Mill
Position creates value through developing complete asset strategies and leading projects associated with reliability improvement at the Muskogee Mill Power Plant. The successful candidate will work directly with Power Plant leadership, maintenance planning and operations staff toward implementing asset strategies. This individual will also actively share knowledge with AALís, reliability engineers, and project engineers throughout the company as necessary to expeditiously role out cutting edge initiatives. This individual will demonstrate a visible sense of urgency, discipline, and organization while managing multiple projects, objectives, and deadlines.
Expectations/Responsibilities of Role:
∑ Maximize value to GP through the practice of MBM Guiding Principles, utilization of the ASI process, and small project work processes to continually improve plant performance.
∑ Create a safe work place with 10,000% compliance to all environmental, safety and business practices.
∑ Evaluate long-term needs including major projects and property improvements.
∑ Implement and maintain Operating Envelope Enabler tool.
∑ Update and monitor OBC and Maintelligence Routes
∑ Manage Condition Based Monitoring functions: vibration, lubrication, infrared, ultrasonic, motor current, corrosion detection, NDT, etc.
∑ Assist in upgrading SMPís to assure equipment is maintained to a precision state.
∑ Manage the plantís performance gap reporting, conduct RCFAís and implement methods to prevent recurrence.
∑ Develop DMFís to a level that reveals best proposition, opportunity costs and alternatives.
∑ Manage the Power Plantís long term capital planning process.
∑ Develop project scopes and work packages for construction crafts.
∑ Manage activities of contact engineers and technical representatives when utilized.
∑ Establish Reliability Operations and Maintenance Guidelines that support good process and equipment practices.
∑ Manage departmentís PSM covered processes (CPS, Natural Gas) and mechanical integrity programs (Boiler, Pressure Vessel, SRVís, Turbine STRAP, and Piping FAC).
∑ Will be expected to complete Reliability Solutions Training and certify as GP Reliability Engineer
∑ Bachelorís degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Management, or related field OR Minimum 5 years of Project Management experience in an Industrial Facility.
∑ Experience in a troubleshooting type position to resolve process and equipment issues.
∑ Must have process piping, process control systems, electrical power and air systems experience
Knowledge Ė Skills:
∑ Clear understanding of (and work) experience with assessing safety and reliability risk.
∑ Must have been in a troubleshooting type position to resolve process and equipment issues
∑ Experience working in a team environment with a cooperative work style
∑ Have solid communication skills (both written and verbal)
∑ Strong computer skills with MS Word, Excel, Power Point, SharePoint, and Project.
